1. To encourage and foster the ideals of professionalism in the Civil Engineering field and to promote fellowship and ethical conduct amongst Civil Engineers.

2. To promote and enhance the common interest of the Council and to act as a liaison between members and various statutory or non‐statutory authorities and non members of the fraternity.
3. To represent to the authorities and seek redress of the grievances of members.

3. To interact, co‐operate and work with other Associations, Institutions or bodies in India and abroad, having similar objectives and generally to take any action or actions which are incidental and conducive to further the objectives of the Council.

4. To create Centers of the Council in other places all over the country, in accordance with the norms as specified and stipulated and to work at different places and provide common platform to act in the interest of the profession in general and society at large.
To make rules and regulations and take incidental actions to give affiliations to other like‐minded Associations/bodies.

5. To hold conferences, meetings or seminars and gatherings at Local, National or     International venues; to conduct, manage, encourage or sponsor tours in the country or abroad on the subjects related to the profession or the society in general either solely or in association with other Institutions, Associations, Societies or bodies or to participate in such Meetings, Seminars Conferences, Gatherings, Tours, Debates, or Discussions, etc. held by other Associations, Institutions, Societies, Bodies or Authorities.

6. To promote and bring about awareness among the general members of the  society about the role of Civil Engineers as a necessity in contributing to the three main attributes namely development, safety and economy.
